Seeking some help related to unformatted drive status.  I've read several other posts on the topic, and I've un-assigned the drive from the array, ran the resreif (sp?) command on the drive and it says there is not file system.  The array appears to be working fine and the parity was rebuilt as checking okay.

 

So, my question is, should I use the resreif command with the rebuild option to see if that recovers the drive or should I just pre-clear it and add it back into the array?

Exactly what command did you run?    People commonly type incorrect parameters.

 

Also, what exactly do you mean by saying you unassigned the drive (a screenshot might help here)?  Typically one recovers from this scenario by running the array in maintenance mode - not unassigning any drives.
