Sounds like you should of researched the board first!
now it’s just a waiting game till the module issue is resolved

Yeah, but I got an almost to good to be true deal on the board so I can live with this.
Its just a "nice to have" to get it working.

Did not work.
All I get is cpu temps and mb temps, no pwm controler.

Hi everyone , i just build a server with a Z690 Gygabite gaming x DDR4 and i am not able to get the array fan speed , i have perl installed and as well all the app / plug in .

Can somebody can help me please .

Try the NCT6687 plug-in, that's the only thing that worked for me.

Sorry for that, thank you for you reply

at the command prompt run sensors-detect, follow the prompts, at the end it will give you the summary, it will tell you the drivers to load or if a driver is yet to be written for your controller. here is mine:

Now follows a summary of the probes I have just done.
Just press ENTER to continue:

Driver `nct6775':
  * ISA bus, address 0x290
Chip `Nuvoton NCT6791D Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)

Driver `coretemp':
  * Chip `Intel digital thermal sensor' (confidence: 9)

On my gigabyte board I had to add "modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628" to my go file, so if you try to just type that in the terminal and see if your fans show up, thats all you need to do.
Might be a diffrent ID for you, what does sensors-detect show?

I'm using the USB Manager plugin to run an Unraid VM within Unraid and since then, I'm getting this error every night:

fstrim: /mnt/disks/UNRAIDVM: the discard operation is not supported

I could uninstall the plugin and run the fstrim command only on my cache but a fix would be great. Not sure why it tries to trim my USB drive.

Any tips for me running a ASUS B550-i Strix Gaming?

All I get to work is the CPU temperature. Mainboard and all Fans are missing.

If I understand correctly the kernel support for my board gets better with kernen 5.17 but the current 6.10.0 RC4 will only come with kernel 5.15.

To load everything that is needed, add this to one of the system
initialization scripts (e.g. /etc/rc.d/rc.local):

#----cut here----
# Chip drivers
modprobe nct6775
/usr/bin/sensors -s
#----cut here----

You really should try these commands right now to make sure everything
is working properly. Monitoring programs won't work until the needed
modules are loaded.

Unloading i2c-dev... OK

Now follows a summary of the probes I have just done.
Just press ENTER to continue:

Driver `nct6775':
  * ISA bus, address 0x290
Chip `Nuvoton NCT6798D Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)

Do you want to generate /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors? (yes/NO):
To load everything that is needed, add this to one of the system
initialization scripts (e.g. /etc/rc.d/rc.local):

#----cut here----
# Chip drivers
modprobe nct6775
/usr/bin/sensors -s
#----cut here----

You really should try these commands right now to make sure everything
is working properly. Monitoring programs won't work until the needed
modules are loaded.

Unloading i2c-dev... OK

@spl147

Have you loaded the nct6775 driver?

same here, almost the same board, the same detect, no fans 😞

# sensors-detect version 3.6.0
# Board: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)

# Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics (25/80/0)

This program will help you determine which kernel modules you need
to load to use lm_sensors most effectively. It is generally safe
and recommended to accept the default answers to all questions,
unless you know what you're doing.

Some south bridges, CPUs or memory controllers contain embedded sensors.
Do you want to scan for them? This is totally safe. (YES/no):
Silicon Integrated Systems SIS5595...                       No
VIA VT82C686 Integrated Sensors...                          No
VIA VT8231 Integrated Sensors...                            No

VIA C7 thermal sensor...                                    No
VIA Nano thermal sensor...                                  No

Some Super I/O chips contain embedded sensors. We have to write to
standard I/O ports to probe them. This is usually safe.
Do you want to scan for Super I/O sensors? (YES/no):
Probing for Super-I/O at 0x2e/0x2f
Trying family `National Semiconductor/ITE'...               No
Trying family `SMSC'...                                     No
Trying family `VIA/Winbond/Nuvoton/Fintek'...               Yes
Found `Nuvoton NCT6798D Super IO Sensors'                   Success!
    (address 0x290, driver `nct6775')
Probing for Super-I/O at 0x4e/0x4f

... (I skipt the rest, its all "NO")
