Dynamix - V6 Plugins

Recommended Posts

Hello, Just wondering if a new feature could be added to the s3 sleep by Dynamix! Back in the days of windows home server v1 i used to run a very handy piece of software called Lights Out, it had this feature were it would monitor the disk activity just like the s3 sleep plugin but with a resetting delay timer. I know with the s3 sleep plugin it will do the first part but if you access one of your drives during the first initial countdown it wont reset the timer back to the start again. Hope this makes sense many thanks.

Hi everybody,

thanks for this plugin. I have two questions (or suggestions):

1) Is it possibile to set a condition to check if there are any client connected to a share? So if a client have a share mounted the server wouldn't go to sleep. I tried with low traffic network condition but it sleeps anyway.

2) Is it possibile to create "profiles". For eg. "Everyday at midnight start a profile to shutdown the server if some conditions are satisfied". "Everyday at the boot start a profile with certain sleep conditions".

Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I tried to install the update (2021.05.20) today and I only get this error.

plugin: run failed: /bin/bash retval: 1

Can someone tell me how to solve this error?

Thanks a lot

Getting the same thing here, can't see anything in the syslog either. Possibly the update itself?

Is any body lucky using Mapquest for Day/Night ? Mapquest makes it easiest to get an account and an API key.

However, unfortunately I always get "No geographical coordinates found for the given address. Please adjust.", no matter what address I put in.

Somebody luckier with MapQuest?

Maybe this is the reason: Mapquest seems to be really bad at locating addresses outside of the US.

PS: Bing did work but it was a lot more effort to get an account.

Has this ever been figured out? I'm a new user, just installed Day/Night and am getting the same no address found error.

Fan Control doesn't seem to detect anything on my machine.

No PWM controller detected.

It is a Gigabyte Z87-HD3.

I am having a similar problem with my PRIME Z590M-PLUS, system temperature works though.

how does the Fan control work

what does the interveral time mean  what does minum pwm value mean

the exclude for array...  but there is no exclude cpu motherboard  x570 chipset temperature

so i kinda confused how you set it right ?

for cpu fan too  and is low and high for  full speed and just on  or how u work it out to ramp up slowly ?

and how can you rename pwm fans

pwm 1 pwm2 etc means nothing

be nice to change

pwm1  to   Chassis 1 Fan

pwm2 to  CPU Fan

pwm3 to  Chassis 2 Fan

and so on

and my motherboard is

ASUS X570 Tuf Gaming Plus board

Yea, I always felt it should be installed automatically as it is required by the plugin

To be fair, it's a system-wide thing.  If you had several plugins using PERL (say, Speedtest), and you uninstalled one of them, would you expect PERL to still be there?

yes if other installed plugins required it, like wize if you uninstall a plugin and no other installed plugins require it. then it should be removed
