I am some having problems with NZBGet, with the gui input.

 

Every time I put information into the gui it will not save or properly save to configuration files.

 

I have to separately navigate to the folder and of ppscripts and input the data in the .py scripts manually.

 

Curious if this is normal process or is something not working properly.

I would try running the New Permissions script.  If you don't want to run it against all mount points, you can manually run the appropriate commands against /mnt/cache only.
