Cache Drive option not showing up in share tab?

Featured Replies

Running version: 4.5-beta3 and do not see the cache drive drop-down under the share tab. Do I need to add a drive that is unassigned before this option shows up? Have read through the release notes and FAQs but cant seem to find any info on this.

Thanks!

The cache drive feature is only available in the "Pro" licensed version of unRAID.  Are you using the "Pro" version?  If you are, have you assigned the "cache" drive on the devices page?

Yes, I am using the licensed "Pro" version. I didn't see a cache drive option on the devices page when I was adding drives. Just added 5 last night and started my 1st parity sync earlier today which is about another hour away from completing.

It is on the bottom of the devices page.  (unless you scroll down, you might not see it, as it is after disk15)

The array must be stopped to assign a device on the devices page.  You'll be able to check in an hour or so, once your parity calc is completed.
