Bought 2 icy dock 3x3.5 in 2x5.25 cages for my tower.  Seemed one of them was DOA, with random disks being disconnected, unable to POST and once upon successful boot of unRAID, caused write errors (had to start new config and parity check).

 

Ugh... such a terrible experience.

 

Just curious, aside from the obvious single post in this forum on Icy Dock, anyone else tried these and noticed issues?  I'm now seriously questioning the long-term viability of this cage.  Sure, could be the RMA rate is 2% and I got the lemon on one of them, but this experience doesn't instill a lot of confidence.
