I have set my shares to

Export: YES

Security: SECURE

USER: Read / Write

 

 

But when i got network places from another computer and username i can still access the folders on unraid?

 

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify - do you mean that you can see the shares (which the settings would allow) or you can see inside the shares?

Use Private to prevent reading.

i tried private but users can still see the shares a go into the folders and view and edit files.

 

anyone that is my same network can do this.

 

we are using 10 windows machines on the same network

With security set to private, you need to set "no access" for all users without permission to access.

and i would guess for users with access you set the permission level to either Read or Write?
