Network Timeout / File Transfer Fail

Featured Replies

I am running version 5, and recently popped in a new 3TB HD for Parity AND moved the unraid server from behind a switch to directly being on the router.  Ever since then large file transfers fail after 20 seconds or so saying unable to connect o network.

I've placed the server back behind the switch, I've switched networked cables, I've tried transferring from a laptop on wifi and from a lan location, I've run a parity check (no errors), I've tried changing network ports, and STILL i get errors.

When streaming movies from the server I have no issues. Some of my movies are 15GB and stream 1MB/sec for 2hrs and no issues. But when I move large files (2GB+) it fails after a few seconds.  Any thoughts?

I did post a work around for this, perhaps someone can find it?

Thanks ...I searched through all your  posts, and although i tried creating a DWORD entry and set it to 3000 the issue still persists. Also its not related to my storage amount since i have a few TB free as a whole but some drives have only 10GB free.  However when monitoring the read/writes it all on the drive that has 2TB free and the files being transferred are only 4-5GB

Is there a possibility that the IP address changed with the move?

It sounds like this disk is faulty, I have found a prelude to a disk failing is it taking a long time to access when writing
