April 17, 200917 yr For some reason, unraid streaming works normally when connected directly to my router. If I connect it to my gigabit switch, performance slows to a crawl. I have checked other computers connected to the switch and they work fine. Any ideas how to start troubleshooting this?
April 17, 200917 yr Stage 1. Check all the lights on your devices. There are usually colours that signify things like 100mbit, full duplex etc
April 18, 200917 yr Author Led on the switch and on the network port on the unraid indicate gigabit speed but I cannot stream a video if connected to the switch and even the //tower web page loads more slowly than if I directly connect to the router and bypass the switch.

Everything I am reading points to you needing to try an alternate switch. (as already mentioned, some are good, some not so good) Joe L.
