December 16, 201411 yr I currently have a Unraid tower 24 terabytes of storage using 11 2tb drives. I built this baby back in 2010. Coming up on 5 years of daily abuse and I feel it is time to build a new one. I have some concerns that I hope members here can help me with. I opened a small business for my wife and built a 3 drive free unraid tower with spare drives to back up her files, I plugged it into my network and wanted to migrate certain files from my main tower I had major issues reconnecting to my home 24 terabyte tower once I connected her newer version unraid tower. Even after renaming the tower it was a nightmare. I don't want to go through that again when I build my new tower. Can Unraid now use the new 4tb drives? And what is the best road to take on new unraid software... My main use for my tower back in 2010 was to store my large Movie and Music Collection...Today I need it to do the same plus I have a heavy use of the Plex system currently my main PC is the work horse but would like to build my next tower to be the plex server. Thanks for any help on the information I have given.
