help getting my Unraid back up and running

Featured Replies

I have an Unraid system that I haven't used in at least 2-3 years.  I finally got it up (kind of) but I have two questions.  It says it's running a parity check, but it's been running for several hours and still shows 14% and has 267.1 minutes to run.  Neither figure has changed.  Is it stuck?

Secondly, I don't have any idea what rev. of Unraid I'm running and have no idea how to check it.

As you can tell I've forgotten about everything I ever knew about the system...must be my age:(

Any help would be appreciated.

Please see the first 3 posts of this thread, and provide us a syslog.

The UnRAID version should be visible on the UnRAID main web management page, upper right corner I believe.

It's all good.  I got it figured out. Thanks for the reply.

I found the rev and it finally finished checking the parity with 0 errors :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey bp just thought i would offer my 2c. Watch your drives closely over the next few weeks as a machine that has been sitting for that long will probably lose at least a drive, if not more. My machine was offline for about 6 months and lost 3 over a period of a couple months after being put back into production. It happens :-(

Thanks Chickensoup!  I've run parity checks on my system twice with no errors..so far so good, but I'll keep an eye on it.
