December 21, 201411 yr Hi folks, I recently had to do a clean install and followed exactly the path I had successfully used a few weeks ago - took out the flash drive, reformatted it (FAT32, default settings) on my Win7 PC, reinstalled 5.0.6, made bootable (with admin rights) and put back in the unRAID tower. Unfortunately, when I boot I get this error. "SYSLINUX 4.03 2010-10-22 EDD Copyright c 1994-2010 H. Peter Anvin et al ERROR: No configuration file found No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found! boot: " I see that error crops up once in a New PC build thread but none of the suggestions there helps and I don't think they are the same issues - it worked fine under FAT32 before, so my BIOS shouldn't suddenly require FAT. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help, Nick
December 22, 201411 yr * Try running Check Disk (scandisk etc) on it, on the Windows machine, and make sure it's properly ejected (or use the 'Safely Remove...' tool). * Try running make_bootable once again on it. No need to reformat. * It sounds like syslinux.cfg might be corrupted...
