callummc Posted December 30, 2014 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Hi all, I've just installed a shiny new Plextor PCIe M.2 2280 SSD on the M.2 mount for a ASROCK Z97 Extreme4 Mobo. The drive appears to be working : 1. The flash screen indicates it's connecting successfully via PCIe x2 2. Drive details are showing up in the MB BIOS/UEFI settings screen However it does not appear in unRAID v6b12 (existing system). Has anyone else used a M.2 slot? Is there any reason that this drive would not be showing up? Quote Link to comment
callummc Posted December 30, 2014 Author Share Posted December 30, 2014 Interestingly, I've found that the drive shows up when VT-d is disabled in the BIOS. Seems like it might be related to the Marvell controller and the ID's it provides to Xen, as per this post : http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33511.0 Quote Link to comment
