Plex Media Server won't start

Featured Replies

I have had stable unraid running for a while now, decided to add plex.

I have version 5.0.5 (basic) and followed all the instructions here for the PMS install: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/66930-helpful-unraid-links/?p=387455

To be clear, my .plg file is in the plugin folder, not nested inside the plex media folder that is created automatically.

My disk 1 shows the  apps folder with the Plex folder created in there when I tried to start the program.

However, plex shows "Status: Stopped" under the PMS server, and i can't access the web server (I just get a webpage not available from chrome)

My log shows this:

Jan 1 13:34:28 NAS pms: Check 2: Plex has NOT started yet, something is maybe wrong!

Jan 1 13:34:31 NAS pms: Check 3: Plex has NOT started yet, something is maybe wrong!

Jan 1 13:34:34 NAS pms: Check 4: Plex has NOT started yet, something is maybe wrong!

Jan 1 13:34:37 NAS pms: Check 5: Plex has NOT started yet, something is maybe wrong!

Jan 1 13:34:40 NAS su[2330]: Successful su for unraid-plex by root

Jan 1 13:34:40 NAS su[2330]: + ??? root:unraid-plex

The dumb face above is "? ? ?" without the spaces.  Stupid auto emoticons...

Any ideas?

One more piece of info from a previous troubleshooting:

when i run "su unraid-plex -s /bin/bash -c "./start.sh"

i get the following:

"./start.sh: line 11: ./Plex Media Server cannot execute binary file"

I think there is a dependency issue between GCC and Plex...  (You may have installed the GCC package with unMenu so that you can get email working)  Remove GCC
