Writes to disks counter in simple features

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just noticed Simple Features is reporting "writes to disks" when I have not written anything t the disks. This includes writes to the data disks not just the parity or USB.

The only change I've made is I installed Dynamix last night but it didn't work so I reverted back to Simple features by taking the copy of the plugins folders I created and copying them back onto my USB.

Any idea why? I haven't noticed this before.

Im using Unraid 5 RC8 and Simple Features 1.0.0

Probably your Dynamix problem is related to not running latest stable unRAID with latest Dynamix.

That said, it's likely that you really do have something writing. What other plugins do you have?

Thanks for the reply trurl. Yeah I noticed a little later after I already installed dynamiX that it wasn't supported until a little later.

I only have simple featires and unmentionable installed. My plug in folder has heaps of different files but I assume they were installed along with one of the above.

I was just curiout what any of them would be writing to the disks for. I don't have a cache drive or anything.

Suggest you start without any plugins at all and see if you are still getting unexpected writes. See dgaschk's sig, revert to stock system, revert to stock go file.
