Hi all,

 

I've got a HP N40L microserver but the onboard RAID controller no longer works, I suspect the Mini-SAS socket is damaged. Other posts suggest that the HP P410 card does not work with unRAID, although these refer to older versions (4.7). Is this supported in later versions?

 

If not, can anyone recommend a card that works?

I might consider a used LSI SAS 9207-4i4e.

With that card you can also have a 4 port SAS external unit.

Looks good, but costs almost as much as the server (new, not found any used ones yet).

Maybe the HP P410 works in unRAID 6. Do you know what driver it uses?

There are always the used IBM M1015 and equivalent SAS cards on eBay.

Also look in good deals for unRAID'ers selling off controllers.

 

 

I suggest that particular LSI card so you could grow externally.

No idea on the driver, sorry. I'm pretty new to all this.

 

I'll check out the IBM card though.
