New Build Can't Access webGUI

Featured Replies

So I'm in the process of moving from a SFF build to a full tower. The board in the new build is a SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O. I had everything ready to go and moved my old drives and USB stick to the new server. However, I was unable to access the webGUI. I hooked up the server to a monitor and didn't notice anything unusual. I then moved all the drives and the USB back to the original build and everything worked like normal. Just for testing purposes, I decided to install unRAID on a new USB and see if I could get any sort of access on the new build. I used ifconfig eth0 and saw that the server hadn't assigned itself any sort of IP. No luck trying ping a website either. Not sure if this is a configuration issue or something. I've attached a syslog from when I used a brand new USB. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nvm, figured it out. Had my cable connected to the LAN for IPMI instead of the other one. Didn't notice the second port hidden under a flap of bendable metal. Noob of the year award for me ;P

Have you done an

ifconfig

command from a console/telnet session to see if an IP address has been assigned?

I notice that the board you mentioned has 2 LAN ports.    Have you tried using the other one in case the one that unRAID is picking up is not the one that you have the LAN plugged into.  There is also an IPMI port that probably needs its own cable to the router if you want to use that feature.
