how to install xbmc on 5.0.6

Hi Folks,

 

After extensive searching through many informative and interesting threads, I can't seem to find the actual xbmc install information. I have found many plugins and updates for, but where do I start with a fresh install of xbmc for 5.0.6?

 

I have 6b12 that I would install kodi Helix on if that is a better solution, so is it possible to use kodi Helix on v5?

 

I am not sure how stable 6b12 is since I need another stable UnRaid server to backup my current Unraid server. I am contemplating whether to use v6b12 or stay with 5.0.6 through all this. Any advice is so appreciated.

 

Ultimately, this would all be headless.

 

Unless I missed the obvious, which has happened before, I would appreciate it if the community could provide some links to the right threads so I can sort this all out.
