Server Suddenly not showing up

Featured Replies

I got my server up and running last night and this morning I could no longer see my server on my network. I'm using Win 7. I can log into it by typing the ip address in my browser but it won't show up in my network.

I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so bear with me.

Thanks

Go to Settings - SMB - Workgroup Settings. If unRAID is not on the same workgroup as your other computers, make it so.

On the same page, set Local Master: Yes

Shut down the other computers on your network and wait a few minutes so unRAID can take over Local Master, then start one of the computers and see if this fixed your problem.

I was just reading some stuff and I ended up mapping the drive and suddenly it showed back up?

Glad you got it working. I have never seen any need to map a drive since every use case I have will work with a UNC path.
