Tranmission and cache drive setting question

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I recently got myself a cache drive for my unraid server and wanted to put my incomplete torrent folder onto the drive. I created a share that only resides on the cache drive through "shares" menu.

Now in my transmission setting file I set the new data location to "mnt/user/cache/Incomplete". Now the strange thing happens is that when I open unraid in my browser the cache drives says it only has 90mb used on it, but the folder itself that I moved all the files to is showing as 330 gb large. When I open explorer and navigate to the incomplete folder all the data is there though. Should I change my folder path to "mnt/cache/Incomplete" and would it solve the strange storage used issue?

You don't actually say what you named your cache-only share.

/mnt/user/cache/Incomplete is a folder named Incomplete on a user share named cache. Did you name your cache-only share "cache"? I don't recommend that as it is likely to lead to confusion. That would be at /mnt/cache/cache

Or did you name your cache-only share Incomplete? That would be at /mnt/cache/Incomplete, or /mnt/user/Incomplete.
