January 12, 201511 yr hello! I am completely unfamiliar with Linux and I would like to install the powerdown script so I can gracefully shut my unraid server down. the problem is I can't figure out how to download and install the powerdown script from the command prompt in telnet. could anyone assist me? I've read the guide but I didn't understand it. regards, Will
January 12, 201511 yr Since your only other post is from 2012 and is about a v5 beta, we don't really know much about the context of what you are trying to do. What version of unRAID are you currently running? What guide are you talking about? The way powerdown is usually installed these days is either with a plugin, or possibly using the unMenu PKG manager.
January 12, 201511 yr Author I am using unraid 5.0 beta as per my previous post, I attempted to upgrade to the latest version but got several errors on bootup - does the latest version have it built in? the installation instructions I was trying to use were these: https://code.google.com/p/unraid-powercontrol/wiki/PageName
January 12, 201511 yr Suggest you let us help you with upgrading to the latest stable v5.0.6 then we can see about the powerdown. That one you linked to is from 2008. It has been updated since then.
