June 9, 201511 yr Author Hi, Saarg. Thanks for the tvheadend docker template. It's working great for me. (tvheadend unstable, extra parameters added separately) CHBMB asked me to try out his RC4 OE MediaBuild kernel drivers to see if it works with my Hauppauge HVR-2250. Though your MediaTreeCheck plugin detects the Media Tree and DVB adapter, tvheadend won't start. I get the following error in the log: tvheadend: client.c:626: avahi_client_free: Assertion `client' failed. 2015-06-07 17:57:59.646 [ ALERT] CRASH: Signal: 6 in PRG: /usr/local/bin/tvheadend (4.1-41~gef5b43a) [c727ae071e0c42d3c46fd6c57ca337a401bbf0f0] CWD: /etc/service/tvheadend 2015-06-07 17:57:59.646 [ ALERT] CRASH: Fault address 0x630000000e (N/A) 2015-06-07 17:57:59.646 [ ALERT] CRASH: Loaded libraries: /usr/lib/libhdhomerun.so.1 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.0.0 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libz.so.1 /usr/lib/liburiparser.so.1 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libavahi-common.so.3 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libavahi-client.so.3 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdbus-1.so.3 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdl.so.2 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/librt.so.1 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_compat.so.2 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnsl.so.1 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_nis.so.2 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_files.so.2 2015-06-07 17:57:59.646 [ ALERT] CRASH: Register dump [23]: fefefefefefefe0000002ba510000de00000000000000008000000000000020200002ba4ea50891900002ba4ea508fe000002ba4ef7a39c000002ba4ef7a3700000000000000000e000000000000002f00002ba4eb40383000002ba4e94750000000000000000006000000000000000000002ba4eb2b9cc900002ba4ef7a274800002ba4eb2b9cc90000000000000202000000000000003300000000000000000000000000000000fffffffe7ffbba130000000000000000 2015-06-07 17:57:59.646 [ ALERT] CRASH: STACKTRACE 2015-06-07 17:57:59.818 [ ALERT] CRASH: /tmp/tvheadend/src/trap.c:148 0x462e59 2015-06-07 17:57:59.841 [ ALERT] CRASH: ??:0 0x2ba4eab67340 2015-06-07 17:57:59.841 [ ALERT] CRASH: gsignal+0x39 (/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6) 2015-06-07 17:57:59.841 [ ALERT] CRASH: abort+0x148 (/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6) 2015-06-07 17:57:59.866 [ ALERT] CRASH: ??:0 0x2ba4eb2b2b86 2015-06-07 17:57:59.889 [ ALERT] CRASH: ??:0 0x2ba4eb2b2c32 2015-06-07 17:57:59.913 [ ALERT] CRASH: ??:0 0x2ba4ea50106b 2015-06-07 17:57:59.971 [ ALERT] CRASH: /tmp/tvheadend/src/avahi.c:270 0x4edb3d 2015-06-07 17:58:00.020 [ ALERT] CRASH: /tmp/tvheadend/src/wrappers.c:145 0x436d9e 2015-06-07 17:58:00.042 [ ALERT] CRASH: ??:0 0x2ba4eab5f182 2015-06-07 17:58:00.042 [ ALERT] CRASH: clone+0x6d (/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6) *** Killing all processes... Actually Saarg, I was hoping you'd be able to give me a clue about what's going on by looking at the syslog. So I'm to blame, but who's going to save the day and be the hero.

We blame tvheadend then It most likely were a corrupt EPG database file or some other problem with the config that tvheadend choked on. I also updated tvheadend to the latest version yesterday, so it also might have been a bug in tvheadend you managed to find.
