June 19, 201610 yr Hi Monkeyair, Are you running the tvh docker from this thread? Or running tvh through the libreelec vm? So you're running quad dvb-s2 & dvb-s2 tuners? With the dvb-s2 is the navigation and channel selection fairly rapid? That's my issue with the wetek, it seems sluggish, alot of buffering once a channel is selected. I was hoping transferring tvh onto my server would make things quicker. Many thanks for the reply:) I've already notified amazon that I want a return & refund on the card, I was going to plug the wetek back in tbh.

I've been reading a bit about this and Monkeyair reminded me of when he was trying to set it up. Generally DVB support in Linux is messy, hence the need for so many DVB builds. So although there is support in the kernel for your card, looking at their site they also appear to have drivers, which is somewhat confusing as they are allegedly in the kernel..... I'll do a bit of investigating but I stand by my original advice to not use DVBSky stuff if possible...
June 19, 201610 yr Wish I hadn't bothered with the Dvbsky stuff myself now! Would something like this be better link Although it doesn't list the actual model, but gets good reviews.

June 20, 201610 yr Does having the dvb-s2 pcie cards improve responsiveness? Is there still buffering when using them? Does anyone know which is the better card to get, the 6981 or the 6902?
June 20, 201610 yr I have no lag with cards and responsiveness is excellent. I changed one of my DVB-T cards for the DVB-S version. The spare card is due to go on eBay soon......
June 20, 201610 yr Author Does having the dvb-s2 pcie cards improve responsiveness? Is there still buffering when using them? Does anyone know which is the better card to get, the 6981 or the 6902? I you have buffering it's usually the server/client that is too slow. I still have a little buffering before the channels appear on my rpi2. It's about a second. I would go for the newer card as they might have fixed some of the incompatibilities and small problems previous cards had. Since CHBMB compiles the Tbs drivers, the newest should be supported.
June 20, 201610 yr Ok great thanks for the Info guys. So just to confirm the tbs 6981 is the newer card right?
