We did that at our wedding and someone stole them all.  Nothing funnier than making an announcement asking for the thief to please wash their hands

That 's tickled me.....  :)

Has anyone ever tried to get Sky TV working in the UK with the OMNIKEY 3121, Oscam and TVHeadend?

Just wondered if it was still possible to do with the updates to encryption........

Found a link about sly and Oscan. Looks like it works, but it might depend on which card you have. Read more here http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php/85046-Oscam-Configs-For-SKY-UK-CAID-0960-Red-Card

So I have blatantly forked your Tvheadend-Unstable & Oscam projects to create one, merged container:

https://github.com/rix1337/docker-tvheadend-oscam

Reason being:

I own a TT CT2-4500 PCIe card for cable. Passing through that device using your latest TVheadend unstable build, as well as LibreElec V6.2 RC1 works flawlessly. With TVheadend-NG I can stream Live-TV to my bedroom/mobile devices.

Unencrypted Live-TV, that is.

Unfortunately, I see no proper way to pass through my ca/CI+ reader module from my DVB-Adapter to oscam, separately from your TVheadend container (which is passed through the /dev/dvb device).

Is there any proper way to use my /dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0 module for oscam and the other devices of /dev/dvb for tvheadend?

Otherwise I would have to maintain my newly forked container  ::)

I have no experience with DVB cards with built-in CI.

I know you don't have Digital devices, but maybe this might help you to run without Oscam: https://tvheadend.org/boards/13/topics/20645

I think you should be able to use the CI in tvheadend as it has compiled in support for linuxdvb_ca, but I'll enable dvbcsa to see if that helps. Should be able to update in a an hour or so.

Hey saarg,

Would it be possible to add comskip to the TVHeadend docker as stuckless did it for his SageTV docker?

Didn't know it was still alive and working. I'll see if it's possible when I have some time.

Thanks. Are you using something else to record TV?

It's only 3-4 pushes on the right button to skip the commercials in kodi  ;) I'm not sure if comskip works on my channels, but I'll try if I get it to work.

Yeah I know, we have too many commercials spread right through the show in Australia and the breaks aren't a consistent length. Drives me mad having to skip back after going too far...

I managed to get comskip working (it was running)in tvheadend (after some cursing and help from stuckless), so I'll add it when I'm sure the tvheadend container is stable enough. I had to update the baseimage I'm using from ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04 and made some other changes also.

  • 3 weeks later...

Trying to install unstable through CA, and keep getting "Error: layers from manifest don't match image configuration"

Pic attached.

Nothing you can do but this: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40937.msg481138#msg481138

Hmmm, ok, if that's what needs to happen.

I'm surprised since my image is less than a week old, and I haven't installed much onto it.

However, will do just that soon.

Really...  hmmm...

Did you already have stable installed?  Every time we've run across this issue, a reimage has always fixed it (and was a one time thing only), but to my knowledge all of the images we've had to delete were always from before some changes took place at dockerHub.  I also don't believe that I've seen this on anything other than 6.1
