New board - missing driver for the ethernet

Featured Replies

Hi i Just bought the asus maximus vii gene motherboard. Everything is fine until i want to acces the webgui. The onboard lan is a Intel® I218V chip. Can you confirm that there is no support? should i move to v6 beta or buy a chip gigabit card?

Me too!! This! Did you ever figure anything out? I have had so many unraid issues lately, and so I finally broke down (after zero replies to my last cry for help) and figured new and name brand was worth the peace of mind... I bought the same MOB and am having the same issues.

I found the linux based driver, but honestly don't know for sure what to do with it. I've read through the "Building and Installation" portion of the driver's README :'(, but don't know if we are able to do that stuff on our own? The driver is at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=15817 can tell me if it is possible to implement it on our own.

Adding a driver is complicated. Ask for the driver to be included in the next release. Or get an Intel NIC.
