Hi everyone, hoping this is a quick question to answer; I'm looking for a compatible SATA expansion card, running Unraid version 5.x. This is the one I was looking at:

That SYBA card works fine if you only have a PCIe x1 slot available, or don't need more than a couple additional drives.

 

If your motherboard has PCIe v2 slots, then it'll work fine with up to 4 drives, although you'll be somewhat bandwidth-limited with activities that have all 4 drives active at the same time (e.g. parity checks/syncs or rebuilds).    If your slots are v1, then I wouldn't use the card for more than 2 drives (it'll work with 4, but will be even more restrictive in those situations).
