Thanks for the post, but Newegg shipping is horrible. For me it was $8 shipping for their budget throw the package around as much as possible and let disgruntled government postal workers abuse it too, or another $14 for 3 day or $31 for 2 day. It's actually a few dollars cheaper to get it from Amazon in 2 days if you already have Prime.

I documented my last hard drive purchase from them recently, after not purchasing from NewEgg in years.  Here's that thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36708.0

Newegg's shipping has improved over what it use to be but it still isn't as good as I can get elsewhere.  B&H and SuperBiiz have done better on drives then anybody else including Amazon.  Athough Amazon has better packaging then Newegg most of the time.  But I have gotten DOA drives from all of them and good drives from all of them even Newegg.  It was only Newegg that I stopped buying multiple drives at a time.  If I bought a single drive from Newegg even during the worst of the bad shipping period it would still get to me in good condition a majority of the time.  But since I can't count on ANYBODY 100% of the time I always buy in pairs so that I have better odds of getting at least ONE drive that works and a cold spare if both are good.
