Win 10 - Latest update made Tower inaccessible

Featured Replies

I've been running Windows 10 Technical Preview for a little while without problem.  Last week there was a big update and ever since then I can't access my unRAID server from that computer.  Whenever I double click on Tower under Network it prompts me for credentials.  I've never had any set up.  All other computers can access the server fine.  All my shares are public.  I'm running unRAID 5.0 and there's nothing useful in the log.

Anybody have any ideas how I can get this working again?

That is a windows issue. Go to credential manager and delete any references to your unraid tower.

The thread StevenD linked to above shows how to resolve this.

If you don't want to follow the discussion, here's the nitty-gritty ... just add this as a DWORD to the registry and give it a value of 1:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters\AllowInsecureGuestAuth
