As I noted earlier ... why not simply wait until you have the space in the array for your new data before doing the copy ??

 

... or create a cache-only share if you want to use the cache as your temporary "backup" for some data.

    I set my mover to be once a week and that has persisted.

     

    The mover will go below the min free space before it quits trying. It can't know a file will take the disk below the min free space until it actually does the move.
