February 4, 201511 yr I tried to upgrade for 5.04 to 6. I followed the instructions unzipping the files I reformated the usb stick, and zunzipped the files to the usb and made it bootable, and copied the config folder to the stick. The server did come up and all looked good, except the Plex plugin did not show up. Problem was when I tried to start the array, it would not come up. I would like on the start button and nothing happens. Also I am seeing 23 drive slots like I am running Pro, but I am running Plus. Is this normal? I am thinking of trying again without the plugins and add them back one at a time. Am I missing something.
February 4, 201511 yr Author Did you replace all your 32bit plugins with 64bit plugins? I did not know that was necessary. My installed plugins are, VirtualBox, Sabnzbd, CouchPotato, Sickbeard, UPS. Is there a way to check if the plugins are 64bit? I could use some guideance here.

They are all available in 64 bit plugins or you can use docker containers for everything but VirtualBox and APCUPSD
February 5, 201511 yr Author I still seem to be having the same issue. I reformatted the USB stick, did a fresh install of UnRaid 6. Copied the config folder, without any plugins and still the array will not start. All my drives show correctly and config is valid.
February 5, 201511 yr I'm pretty sure I know why, licence key location changed in v6 you need to copy your key file to /config folder on your flash drive. It won't start the array cos your running with free edition which is limited to 3 drives.
February 5, 201511 yr Community Expert I'm pretty sure I know why, licence key location changed in v6 you need to copy your key file to /config folder on your flash drive. That was always the official location, but I think v5 found it in other locations as well.

Indeed your right, I was running with my key in the root of my flash drive and one of the betas for v6 changed this to only be /config and I got the exact same symptoms as the OP. Jonp - would be nice to show a message regards this on the screen s there is currently no indication when attempting to start the array

However many people find it is easy to miss this and I agree that an explicit error message mentioning a licensing issue would be a good idea if the current definition is not supported by the license key that was found (or not found).

If not on the screen there probably should be something in the documentation / getting started guide about putting the key file there. Definitely something that I bet will throw off some people upgrading from v5. I will bring it up with Tom.
