Server Case for unRaid

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this case: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220409454462

It seems like a perfect fit with the current release of unRaid which offers up to 20 disks at a fairly reasonable price although something simular cheaper would be nice as well, this still seems like a good fit.

Having had some poor experiences with a couple sata backplanes I thought it would be better to see if anyone else has used this case or can offer comperable / cheaper suggestions.

Thanks

If you want cheaper and it's out of sight like mine you can get this HDD 5 disk rack for $20.  It doesn't hide the wires, but keeps the drives cool.  I have them in my basement in a corner where I hardly venture too.  I have 2 of them for adding an additional 10 drives and have the wires coming out of my regular case's pci slots.  Not the prettiest sight, but not bad if hidden away.

I bought this case a month ago and have been running Unraid on it for two weeks.  The case is a very simple solution for Unraid.  It does run loud with 7 fans that comes with the case, so plan on storing it out of sight.
