February 11, 201511 yr I'm wondering what would be involved in backing up my unRAID server to a 12TB WD MyBook Duo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236731 Will unRAID recognize the external drive? How would I go about performing the backup? Will unRAID use the USB 3.0 protocol?
February 11, 201511 yr Community Expert My v6 unRAID works fine with USB3 on my hardware, don't know if it does everywhere. unRAID will not mount the drives automatically, but you can use the SNAP plugin to take care of that.

February 12, 201511 yr I use sync toy to backup specific folders to my external hdd. I keep the hdd attached to my pc though, so that may not work out for you. But o wanted to mention it in case it does!
