Missing /mnt/user on new install of unRaid 6.0b12 (was user-error)

Featured Replies

I suspect this is a defect, but may be a code-42 user-error.

unRAID OS Version:

6.0beta12

Description:

On mount there was no /mnt/user or /mnt/user0. There was only an empty /mnt/disk1. After creating an arbitrary folder (named /mnt/disk1/1) and remounting the /mnt/user and /mnt/user0 appear

How to reproduce:

I havn't tried reproducing, but I should note that I formatted the disk on a previous boot of unraid 6 b12, and back then it had another parity drive. I then deleted /boot/config/super.dat to get rid of the old (temporary) configuration - ah maybe thats the user error?

Installed unraid on new machine, with parity disk (without parity sync or preclear) and disk1 as something I formatted previously on unRaid 6b12 (I think).

Anyway it felt so weird I figured I should leave a word about it.

Log-entries of note

at 09:04:33 I try to create user-share which fails

at 09:06:21 it now suddenly decides to create /mnt/user (on mount but why didn't it earlier?)

Had you enabled user Shares under Settings->Shares?  Until you have done so you will not get the /mnt/user folder created.

Ah no, thanks for that. I somehow forgot I also enabled that during that test to get it working.
