February 12, 201511 yr Hi All, I checked my unraid today and noticed my cache drive had nothing inside it, i previously had shares which were set to stay in the cache drive only but for some reason all the data had moved to the array. I replaced the cache drive to see if that would fix it. I dont know what the easiest way to move the data back to the cache drive is. I tried creating a new share with cache only selected but nothing happens it just erases the data i filled in. If i create a share and select Yes to cache drive then it works fine. please help. unRAID Server Plus version: 5.0.5
February 12, 201511 yr If any of your other drives have a top level folder the same name as the cache-only share mover will still move them from cache to array. Replacing cache drive will have no effect on this problem. You must get those folders off the other drives and back onto cache. Can you work from telnet or console?
February 12, 201511 yr Author Hi yes i am familiar with unix commands. I am in the process of moving the files so I can then delete the folder from the array drives. Thanks.
