try it again now, it's working.

its alive!  Upon opening the webUI it is telling me that "No Graylog servers available. Cannot log in."  Its so close I can feel it!  I'm guessing I need to tweak a config file somewhere?  Any tips would be much appreciated.  :)

Have a look here, haven't got it working myself yet, but these are the first few steps.

I think this dudes software is fantastic and use ComicTagger almost daily. But I have a fundamental worry about a daemon that doesnt receive any love being public facing (which it will if we make it available).

Sparky, perhaps a big warning somewhere about this?

From what I can tell Ubooquity chap is intertsed in streaming as well.

p.s. its not quiet its dead. see forum. apart from that its all brillaint

It's in my beta repo, capitalised warning about developement being ceased on software in description.

Cant see it now. Also I believe its been blessed with a semi active fork

https://github.com/davide-romanini/comictagger

which is tracked by the original developer.

Thoughts?

Just a last check to see if your interested sparky. If you are and can pull togetehr a standard framework for it I can test and suggest enhancements. I think this could be a very useful container with not too much effort..

i.e. comic in > converted tagged comic out automagically

Anyways just in case it got lost in the thread. Feel free to ignore :)

No panics.

Immediately I hadn't even considered a GUI version of this but thats the route you have have went.... very very interesting. I had imagined something else but let me experiment before I make comment as its likely your idea is better,

Mightily impressed. Based on what I can check without the API key option it "just works". As you pointed out above thats going to be a must and we probably want to link to the page to create an api key in the container description  "http://www.comicvine.com/api/"

Question. I am slightly out of it and one RC behind but the 33GB count here looks like a bug emHTTP bug to me

I updated the container late yesterday, the template now has a variable to enter the api key from comicvine and place it in the config file.

also the pull stats have been fixed in RC4.

Sorry about that I didn't realise. Delved into git and seen the ENV for CV API id is COMICCODE. Once added this passes the check.

Some stuff is working but we need the following for the main functions:

"Python Imaging Library (PIL) is not available and is needed for issue identification."

i followed the instructions here and installed pillow (fork of PIL)

WebP Issues

ComicTagger now uses Pillow ( a PIL/Python Imaging fork) for WebP support.

For it to work properly, when running from source, you will have to have some dependencies install first. For example, on Ubuntu:

Same error. Need to finish some work then will dive into it.

Update: its far from obvious what is wrong. Everything seems to be OK except that it doesn't work. Its as if there is a PIL clash or it cant detect it being installed

Update 2: From https://pillow.readthedocs.org/installation.html "Pillow and PIL cannot co-exist in the same environment. Before installing Pillow, please uninstall PIL." so at least that is clear

trying a rebuild with PIL , it might be quite a bit bigger though is the only thing.
