Array not recognizing new HD

Recommended Posts

Ok so I realize I'm on an older version of Unraid and quite possibly the old version of preclear.

Precleared the drive via the actual console everything seemed hunky dory except it went super fast for a 2TB.  Like it took 30 mins.

When I tried adding it the first time it showed up just fine but it said it wasn't precleared and unraid would have to do it.  Again, fine.  So I let it run.  Now this is what's coming up and I can't get it to add.  Ideas?  Did I just brick the HD?

basically the thing comes up as sdg 0 now.

Last syslog because I like to compound my problems by not backing up apparently.  *SO MAD*

ummm...I found the web address through my router's device page but that does zilch.  THe weird thing is it's a forced network address that I had been using 192.168.1.181 so I figured it would never change.

Your syslog doesn't indicate successful DHCP. Check network connections. What is the IP address of your PC? What is the IP address of your unRAID?

Do you have a monitor and keyboard? From console what do you get with

ifconfig

Also,

Feb 18 09:33:00 Skynet kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck.

Put your flash in your PC and let it checkdisk.

Possibly another indication of a flash corruption. What do you get with

ls -al /boot/plugins

Your first screenshot is showing that unRAID does not have an IP address. Try checking ethernet plugs, changing ports, changing cables, etc.

Your second screenshot shows that webGui-latest.plg is a zero byte file. Could be due to flash corruption, or maybe just a bad download. Won't hurt to do checkdisk, but might not help either.

Is your PC Windows? What do you get from the command prompt with

ipconfig
