Delete misconfigured array, to start from scratch

Featured Replies

Hello,

i started playing with 6.0-beta14 and i created an array with 1 parity and 2 data disks all three brandnew WD 4TB green

not precleared, during formatting in the evening one of the Datadrives got an red Ball (5 more unassigned 4TB drives are physically in the case)

Therefore i decided to begin from scratch and i want to preclear the disk before creating a new array,

but  i am not able to preclear the disks as they are assigned to the array, only the unassigned drives are listed,

if i do preclear_disk.sh -l

So my question is, how can i delete the complete arry, to be able to preclear the disks?

Best regards

If you go the Utils tab in the GUI, then you can use the New Config option to clear the current assignments of disks to the array.    Note that the array must be stopped at the time.
