lumpumun
Hi Unraiders, I am running 6.0-beta12. I would like to make a HFS+ partition in an empty disk image located on a array drive. Purpose is to use Carbon copy cloner to make system backups of my mac. I just do not know how to include and where to find the correct hfsprogs module. Quote Link to comment
gubbgnutten
I think you are making it way too complicated... Let your Mac and CCC bother with HFS+ and disk images. unRAID should only provide storage of the image file created/edited via your Mac, and for that you don't need additional software. lumpumun
@gubbgnutten Seems more comfortable to have an external usb hdd attached to the unraid box. This way a laptop user does not have to carry and connect his usb hdd everywere in order to have a scheduled backup. An rsync to an image on the array would provide redundancy. But a second external hdd would do to. In this case the ability to mount hfs+ is needed. Quote Link to comment
NAS
HFS+ and linux are not happy bed fellows. At best RO access is reliable but RW needs disableJournal enabled. I would strongly recommend doing any of this. Quote Link to comment
