February 26, 201511 yr I want to re-do a my build for a few reasons: First: The drives are cooking in that cabinet! I am upgrading one of my other computers so I will have a MSI Z77 M-ATX motherboard, Pentium G2030 CPU, 2x2GB DDR3 RAM, a fanless 400W Seasonic PSU, a 120GB SSD and a Akasa CPU cooler free to play with... None of them are on their own worth much, so Im thinking I might as well upgrade from v5 to v6 and get a Pro instead of the basic model I am currently running on. To make a long story short - I need a cheap as h**l case with great cooling and big potential. I have found a guy who is selling this one: NZXT Tempest 210 Any one knows it or have another option they will recommend?
February 26, 201511 yr Hard to get much cheaper than the NZXT Source 210. Cooling System 120mm FansFRONT, 2 X 120mm (optional) REAR, 1 X 120mm @ 1200rpm (included) TOP, 2 X 120/140mm (optional) BOTTOM, 1 x 120mm (optional) I have one for the system in my sig. Only has three HDD in it right now, so nowhere near testing the max cooling capability. It's a decently designed and built case for next to nothing. [Edit] heh, no sooner do I post than I realize I have the 220. Check them both out.
February 26, 201511 yr Author Maybe I should have wrote that I am from Denmark. Here a NZXT Source 220 go for $62 when a Tempest 210 go for $$34... I dont want to spend much on this as its for a server I am never really going to interact with, other than over the network (it is placed inside a closet so I cant see it and barely hear it)
February 26, 201511 yr Author I just found some reviews showing both... So if no one else gives a better option I might order a Tempest on monday. Source Tempest
March 3, 201511 yr Good luck with your purchase! I inferred that the Tempest was discontinued, glad to see you can find something that meets your needs at a price you like.
March 4, 201511 yr You've confirmed my suspicions that the DS380's drive bays suck. Not enough holes...
