So you rebooted unraid as a vm and yet the plugin manager keeps saying there is another update available?  When you reboot the vm, in the top right corner of the webgui, what version does it say?

Yeah, you may be right.... Thank you..

Is unAID in the VM being booted off the USB stick, or is it perhaps being booted from a virtual disk image?    If the latter then the virtual disk needs updating which the automatic update would not do.

v6b12 BASIC and v6b14 BASIC are not the same license. Could that have anything to do with it?

Yes, I belive it is because of the licensing change that I have this issue now. it's good that it did not let me as it would cut my 8TB to 500GB until I purchase whatever.

No this is not it. There is no capacity limit even in 14b.

No. The only change between these is the name.  In 12 unregistered mode was called Basic whereas in 14 it was changed to Trial.

So, do you believe this is not a licensing issue? and there is a real issue?

  • Author

yeah something is wrong. it will not install or let me remove it.

Forgot to mention I upgraded a plus key today and still same issue

Could it be that the flash drive is corrupt and need to run chkdsk on it?

  • Author

No, I forgot about changing vmdk file to new version for VM.. But at least it now says I am at 6_14 but still says i need to reboot... no big deal
