6.0-beta14a - was the license key recognized?

Featured Replies

I am running 6.0-beta14a, and I have a plus key I purchased a couple of years ago.  In the GUI, I don't see where it shows that I have a proper license.  If I go to Tools => Trial Info, I see this:

Welcome to unRAID OS Trial version!

If this is the first boot of version 6.0-beta14a, and you have not already done so, we strongly suggest you make a complete backup of your USB Flash device. This will help greatly in the event you need to downgrade or replace something.

Trial Limitations:

Maximum number of devices is 3
Maximum usable capacity per device is 250GB Enforced starting with 6.0-rc1
At least one device must be assigned as an array Data device
Registration instructions may be found under Flash Device Settings.

Please check with the unRAID Community Forum for the latest news and information regarding unRAID Server OS.

But I see these lines in the syslog:

Feb 27 17:28:49 unRAID emhttp: Plus key detected, GUID: 13FE-3600-07A5-04003C48EFEE FILE: /boot/config/Plus.key

Feb 27 17:28:49 unRAID emhttp: array slots: 24

Feb 27 17:28:49 unRAID emhttp: cache slots: 1

I can see anywhere else in the WebGUI where it shows that I'm licensed.  Is it safe to assume I'm alright?  Or should I reformat my USB and reinstall it to be on the safe side?

Look in the top left corner of the webgui. It will say what edition you are running (trial, plus, or pro).

Also update to beta 14b when you can.

That "Welcome to Trial" note is there regardless of the actual version.  Clearly it should NOT be shown for licensed versions ... and I suspect it will be removed form the final v6 release (at least I'd certainly hope so).

I think this is talking about the Trial Version icon that appears on the Tools tab?  Clicking on that takes you to a dialog with the text mentioned.

Alright, so I upgraded to 6.0-beta14b, still the same.  Attached is the syslog following the reboot after the upgrade.

Whoops.  lol.  Guess I should learn to read a little better.  At any rate, it is there.  Didn't even realize it showed there now.  So no issue then.  Thanks for the help!
