March 10, 201511 yr I'm looking for a new power supply. I already have used the Corsair RM1000 units, but they are $35+ more than the EVGA which has just as good stats and plenty of cables/power. Since I won't be using the power supply with a motherboard I've been having a hard time finding the female adapter you plug into the power module port with the two wires to "trick" the power supply to turn on. I've found them for the Corsair, and they are 14 pin female adapters. I just add the wires myself, but I can't find anything for thr EVGA. The last thing I would want to do is hook up that monster power cable and paper clip it. Oh, well, if anyone has done this before give a shout out? Thanks.
March 10, 201511 yr Something ike this guy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4SR1Y25859&cm_re=atx_20_adapter-_-9SIA4SR1Y25859-_-Product with the PS_ON pin and a ground pin wired to a momentary switch? Then just hook this in to the ATX12V cable that comes with the PSU.
