May 28, 200917 yr I used the step by step instructions to build my unraid box all my data was moved first, now I need to installed parity drive. 1tb--2x 500g and 1tb partiy. 1 drive has a movie folder the other drive has a Movie folder and a Pictures folder and Documents folder. Will there be any issues with duplicate folders when I enable shares? Now I should enable User Shares and set the split level to 1 so any new movies I create under Movies share will reside on the same disk Correct?
May 28, 200917 yr I don't have personal experience with User Shares, so I will point you to the FAQ, User Shares section. I think it will help you with most of your questions.

Sounds good. Will there be any issues with duplicate folders when I enable shares? No problem... the contents of both "Movies" folders will be presented as a single "Movies" folder when viewed through user-shares. The only issue will be if both "Movies" folders have an identical named file or folder within them. The one on the lowest numbered "disk" share will be visible in user-shares, the other will not and only be visible on the "disk" share. Now I should enable User Shares and set the split level to 1 so any new movies I create under Movies share will reside on the same disk Correct? Sounds good. Joe L.
