I have enough precleared and backup drives to backup my buddies 5.0.6 setup.  The plan is to move him over to 6.0 and xfs.  I was planning on; just nuking his array and starting over with a quick format xfs, load the data back on, and then rebuild the parity overnight.  However if we do this over the network its going to be 75-95 meg a sec vs 130ish disk to disk.  Is it possible to do a backup/restore using internal hard drives?

    SNAP plugin will let you mount SATA disks not part of the array, then you can copy SNAP disk to array disk.
