Allow attachment of .tgz files

Featured Replies

Unraid's save log mechanism creates a tgz archive, yet tgz files can't be attached to forum posts requiring it to either be attached uncompressed or re-compressing it using something like zip, which is allowed.

Thanks,

When viewing the system login in unRAID 6 via the Tools menu, you can scroll to the bottom. Press the DOWNLOAD button and it will make a syslog.zip archive containing a DOS formatted syslog.txt file.

Tools > System Log > Scroll to bottom > Click Downloads

You could just rename from .tgz to .zip to work around the forum limitations.

Zip programs like 7zip dont actually care about the file extension, only the actual contents of the file. However if youre not using that, the built in windows zip cab handler will likely barf on viewing of it from the forums.
