March 24, 201511 yr Hi all! So my 6 TB NAS is running out on me. Rather than buying another pre-built NAS, I'm trying to roll my own to save some money. unRAID caught my eye since it would let me mix drives of varying capacities and still get 100% usage of them. I'm considering a setup built on an ASRock FM2A88X PRO3+ board (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157572). I've done some searching around on the forums and can find stuff related to the FM2A88X and saying it's OK, but not the PRO3+ version. They're based on the same chipset so I'm thinking it should work but... it would be great to get you guys' opinion as well before shelling out the money on it. I'm also wondering about the NIC on the board (Realtek RTL8111GR). I can't find anything saying it DOESN'T work but... what do you all think? Thanks for the feedback!
