Android: how to download filed from unraid using wifi? [SOLVED]

Featured Replies

I am stumped. I am trying to download my own movie files to my device over the wi-fi connecting to my unraid tower, I tried a number of apps but no can do.

Some don't connect at all, some fail at the username and password and some fail during the wi-fi transfer.

So I still have to hook up the device (Nexus 7) to a PC to transfer the files, so 1990s.....

What are you guys out there using to watch movies on your device offline?

Thanks for your help in advance

GooglePlay has a number of apps which will let you transfer over smb (search for smb  or samba).  Or you could always use a FTP client and the built in ftp application on unRaid

I always use ES File Explorer. It will do SMB, SFTP and FTP.

I use VLC for movies or MX Player for videos.
