Transmission Fails to Start

i installed Transmission and tried to install using default settings but it failed. log file states that it could not open the config files. so i attempted to change configuration setting to no avail. i succeeded in crashing it several times. can someone tell me locations to use for install directory, config directory, log directory, etc.?

    Would be better if you had posted this to the support thread of the plugin you are trying to use. We don't know what you have or what you have done with it.
