fersal
First post here, just getting started with my Unraid media server (v6b14 Basic), and everything so far is working beautifully, However I think I set up my user shares wrong, since I have a single share called "Media" at the top as follows: Media Movies TV Shows Concerts ... I realize now that this curtails my flexibility as far as split levels go, so now I'd like to have a share for each media type. What is the best way to do this? Can I just move the subfolders to the root, delete the Media share and just create individial shares for each type? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
itimpi
If doing this from a console/telnet session then after moving the folders up a level unRAID will automatically create a share corresponding to each top level folder with default settings for the share. Link to comment

fersal
In case someone runs into this problem, I made the mistake of deleting the Media folders on both of my drives after moving the subfolders to the root. Then when I tried to delete the Media share from the Share Settings, the Delete checkbox did not show. I had to recreate empty Media folders, and only then could I delete the share from Share Settings. Link to comment
