rsh different on v6?

Hi,

 

I am on 6b14 and I am trying to get rsh into my unraid server to work, following a post working for v5, but it does not seem to work.

Whatever I try in this post doesn't seem to make a difference. Nothing gets logged in /var/log/secure which makes me think that intend doesn't even try to invoke rshd. rshd is there, I can run it manually after having installed the latest 14.1 slackware package. I have included both my client's name and IP address in the unraid box's .rhosts.

Has anything changed in v6 that would have made the setup described in this post not work?
